Absentee Voter Info Plus A Rally In the Works

How to Cast Your Vote:

Vote directly in the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall from 9am-5pm, M-F.

Extended Hours for Voting:

Wednesday March 31 until 8:00pm
Thursday, April 1 until 7:00pm

Out of Town Absentee Ballot Voting:

There will be no absentee ballots mailed out for any referendum(s) this budget season. This is a change due to an interpretation that needs to be cleared up about a state rule that town clerks should not mail out absentee ballots if the ballot is determined less than 3 weeks prior to voting.

A designee (mom/dad, husband/wife, etc…) can go to the Town Clerk and pick up an absentee ballot on behalf of an individual (example: a college student) and mail the ballot to the voter.

The voter then fills out the form and specifies a ‘designee’ as their official ballot carrier who can submit the ballot on their behalf. This ‘designee’ can only be a family member or a caretaker.
